Below you will find faculty and student access to WebTycho guidelines.
Faculty
Faculty have full access to WebTycho four weeks (28 days) prior to the start of the semester so long as they have been staffed. This access date will vary for online and face-to-face because of the difference in the scheduled start dates.
Students
Enrolled students have partial access to WebTycho up to four weeks (28
days) prior to the start date of the semester. During this time only
the announcement page, system-wide generic biographies and faculty email
link can be accessed.
One week (7 days) prior to the start date of class, students are granted complete access to the classroom.
Due to the fact that students can see the announcements upon registration (4 weeks prior to the start date), we suggest posting an introductory announcement as soon as you receive access to your class.
Faculty often post an announcement that contains at least the following:
- A welcome to the class
- Instructions on when and how to get started. Many students are eager to begin so posting the first weeks readings, or instructions is beneficial.
- Reminder that information posted prior to the official start date of class is subject to change.
