This tutorial demonstrates how to place a Flash movie in a WebTycho classroom by creating a link to the movie's .swf file. You can also place a Flash movie in the classroom by embedding it, which is a more advanced technique.

6.  From the Attachments window:

  • Click the Browse button and navigate to the Flash (.swf) file on you computer.
  • Click the Attach File button
  • Click the Continue button.

 7.  Once the Flash file (.swf) file has been attached, click the Submit button at the bottom of the WebTycho window.

8. From the Manage Course Content screen, click the Create Text button.

9.  In the Link Text field, enter the name of the content item.

10. Add some text to the text box. (NOTE: You will need to make sure your Text Formatting Editor is turned on.)

11. Highlight the text that you want to link the .swf file to, and then click the Link button in the toolbar.

12. From the Insert Hyperlink dialog box, select Web Links, select your .swf file from the list, and then click the OK button.

13. Once the link has been created, the text should turn blue with an underline. Click the Submit button to save the content item.

14. Open the newly created content item and test the link to make sure the Flash movie plays correctly.
