How to Embed a YouTube Video in a WebTycho Classroom

This tutorial reviews the process for embedding a YouTube video in a WebTycho classroom. The embedding process is similar for Class Announcements, Course Content, and Conferences.
- Navigate to the YouTube video you want to embed in your WebTycho classroom.

- Click the button.

- Click the button.

- The iframe embed code that appears in the text box will not work with WebTycho's text formatting editor. You will need to use the object embed code. To get the object embed code, click the You also need to select the checkbox.

- If you do not wish to include related videos (these are the suggested videos you see after the main video has played) remove the check from the checkbox.

- Highlight all the content in the text box.

- Once all the text has been highlighted, right-click with your mouse and select from the pop-up menu. You can also use the keyboard shortcut .

- After you have copied the embed code, navigate to your WebTycho classroom. You can embed the YouTube video in announcements, Course Content, and Conferences. (NOTE: For this demonstration, we will be embedding the video in Course Content.)
In order to complete the rest of the steps in the tutorial you need to make sure the WebTycho text formatting editor is enabled. To do this, select , then select the radio button for the text formatting editor.

- Click the link.

- Next to Course Content, click the link.

- In the field, enter a title for your item.

- From the text formatting editor toolbar, select .

- Place your curser in the text box. (Note: You can put the cursor in between the paragraph
tag <p> or you can put it before/after the paragraph tag.

- Right-click with your mouse and select from the menu.

- The embed code will be pasted into the text box.

- Click the button.

- To test the video, click the link for the item you just created.

- Click the button to ensure the video is working correctly. If the video does not show up, you may want to try repeating the steps listed in this tutorial.
