How to Create a Group in Diigo

This tutorial reviews the process for creating a group in Diigo.

  1. From the Diigo toolbar, sign in to Diigo.


  2. Once signed in, click the Diigo button on the Diigo toolbar.


  3. Select My Groups from the menu.


  4. Select Create a Group from the submenu.


  5. Under the Step 1 tab, complete the following:
    • In the Group Name field, enter the name of the group.
    • In the Description field, enter a description that best describes the group.



  6. If appropriate, from the Category options, choose a category.


  7. Also choose a:
    • Who can view? option.
    • How to join? option.
    • Who can invite new members? option.


  8. Click the Create my group button to finish the group creation process.


  9. Under the Step 2 tab, you have the option to immediately invite people to your group by entering their e-mail addresses and clicking the Invite button. Or you can click the Skip button to skip this step and invite people at a later time. Choose whichever is appropriate for you.


  10. Your group is now created.
