- From the Diigo toolbar, sign in to Diigo.

- Navigate to a Web page you wish to add an inline sticky note to.

- Highlight the text where you want to apply the inline sticky note.

- Move your mouse over the highlighted text. In the upper-left corner of the highlighted text block, you will see a pencil icon.

- Roll your cursor over the pencil icon and select from the menu that appears.

- In the window that appears, complete the following:
- Enter a comment about the text you highlighted.
- Select your sharing preference from the drop-down list.
- Click thebutton.

- Click the button to close the window.

- The inline sticky note icon will appear next to the highlighted text, and it will have a number on it indicating how many comments are on the sticky note. You can review the sticky note by clicking on this icon.

- The window will appear again. You can:
- post a new comment in the available space
- delete one of your existing comments by clicking the trashcan icon associated with that comment.
