How to Record Audio in Microsoft PowerPoint

- Open or create a Powerpoint presentation.

- Click the tab.

- Click the button.

- From the window, select the button.

- Drag the slide to the center and begin speaking into the microphone.

- You want the audio levels to peak somewhere within the yellow zone.

- If the audio levels peak in the read zone, the audio levels are too high. If this happens move the slider slightly to the left and speak into the microphone again. Continue until you have the levels within the yellow zone.

- Once the audio levels are set, click the button.

- From the window, click the button.

- From the drop-down box select and click the button.

- Select the checkbox and click the button.

- When the slide appears, begin speaking into the microphone. NOTE: It will appear as though nothing is recording, but it actually is. You will be able to test the audio once you are finished recording. To move to the next slide hit the .

- To pause the narration recording, right click and select from the menu.

- To end the narration recording you can hit the keyboard or right click and select from the menu.

- From the Microsoft Office PowerPoint window, select the button.

- You are returned to the view.

- To test the audio, select the tab (if not already selected).

- From the group, click the button.

- The PowerPoint presentation will open to full screen and begin playing.
