Insert a Shape
- Open a blank slide in PowerPoint.

- Click the tab.

- Click the drop-down.

- Choose a shape from the menu.

- With your mouse, draw the shape onto the slide.

- Repeat the steps to add additional shapes.
Format/Modify a Shape
- To
format the shape first select the shape then select the tab.

- From the tool bar, select a format. For this demonstration we are changing the rectangle to white.

Add Text to a Shape
- To
add text to a shape, first select the shape then select the Format tab. Next select the icon from the Format tool bar.

- Place the cursor in the shape and begin typing your text.

- If
you double-click on the text the text formatting options dialog box will open.
