This tutorial provides an overview of how to add and modify WordArt in Microsoft PowerPoint.

  1. With a slide open in PowerPoint, select the Insert tab.


  2. Select the WordArt drop-down.


  3. Choose a WordArt style from the menu.


  4. Delete the Your Text Here placeholder text and enter the text for your project.


  5. You can easily make formatting changes to the WordArt. To modify the WordArt, select the Format tab.


  6. Highlight the WordArt text.


  7. Select the Outline drop-down to change the outline color of the WordArt text.


  8. Choose an outline color from the menu.


  9. To add a shadow or glow to the WordArt, select the Quick Styles drop-down.


  10. Choose the appropriate style from the menu.


  11. Select one of the style variations from the submenu.


  12. Your WordArt text now has a new appearance.
