This tutorial outlines the process for recording a screencast with Jing.
- Ensure that Jing has been launched. (NOTE: Look for the Sun Launcher at the top of the screen to determine if Jing is running.)

- Log into Jing. (NOTE: If you do not have an account, you will need to create one before you can proceed.)
- Open the Web page/program that you want to capture in your video.
- From the Sun Launcher, click the button.

- Drag the crosshairs to the window/program you want to capture.

NOTE: If you need to, you can resize the Jing capture window by selecting the corners or sides of the window and dragging them inward/outward.

- Click the button to begin recording.

- After the three-second countdown, begin your demonstration and narration.
- When you have finished your demonstration, click the button to end the recording.

- From the Jing preview window, click the button to review the recording.

- Once the preview has finished playing, click the button to save the recording.

- Give your recording a file name and save it to any location on your computer.

- Click the button.

- Jing will confirm the capture has been saved.

- You can now add the recording to your WebTycho classroom.
