Part Four -- Set the WWW Directory Permissions

1. You now need to set the permissions for the www directory. Click once on the www directory. It should turn blue. Then right click. You should see menu below appear. Click on chmod(Unix).
2.You should now see the Remote File Permissions box. Make sure your permission are the same as the image below. Then click ok.
3. Once your WWW directory is created, you need to publish all your Internet documents (html files) to that directory. Just double click on WWW to open the directory. You do not need to set permissions for every file you upload. WS_FTP will automatically do this for you.
4. Congratulations, you have successfully set your root directory permissions and created your www directory with the proper permissions. You are now ready to transfer files from the hard drive to the www directory.
