"Relativity applies to physics, not ethics"- Albert Einstein

Definition

Graduates will be able to incorporate an ethical perspective when making decisions and will realize the impact of their decisions in their daily lives, both personal and professional.

Graduates will be able to:

  1. Explain how their decisions and actions affect the human and physical environment.
  2. Explain the philosophy, techniques and ethical decision making involved in making choices.

Ethics

Ethics was identified as a key component in many of the external advisory committees that were held to identify program outcomes. Some examples of ethics in program outcomes:

Accounting: Define, develop, and demonstrate ethical business practices and accountability by identifying and addressing current and emerging ethical and regulatory issues.

Biotechnology: Practice ethical standards of integrity, honesty, and fairness in scientific practices and professional conduct.

Communication Studies: Manage successful communication activities within the ethical, legal, and financial parameters of the project and of the profession.
