About the DE Oracle
DE Oracle @ UMUC is an online ezine for faculty that is developed, promoted, and maintained by the Center for Support of Instruction (CSI). This bimonthly periodical provides numerous articles, useful tips and links to outside resources that are tailored to online course delivery, which is predominant at UMUC.
Several prominent UMUC communities share their knowledge and expertise in supporting online instruction. These include faculty, Library Services, Information Technology, the Center for Teaching and Learning, and CSI.
Faculty and staff are encouraged to submit articles about their personal teaching experiences to the DE Oracle so that they can share positive and inspiring stories with their fellow faculty.
Since its inception in 2001, the DE Oracle has grown considerably. This growth called for a major site revamp to improve the article submission process, to better target search results, and to advance overall ease of navigation and aesthetics.
